I would like to thank those brave volunteers who manned intersections this morning. For those of you who have never stood at an intersection life can get dangerous. This morning like many other race mornings these volunteers are subject to meeting some very unfriendly drivers, some of these drivers could care less if you have a runner or a pack of runners coming, they just want to go through. These runners are routinley yelled at, cussed at and sometimes threatened. So the next race you do remember to acknowledge the volunteers even if it is with just a head nod or whatever.
