Suzanne, like Alex I have had surgery on both knees, torn medial meniscus. I have recoverd and run 4 marathons afterwards. The biggest problem I have is I can tell you when the weather is changing, I have a lot of arthritis. My recovery time was several weeks after P.T. and I just had to start running at a slow pace ( heck I am still slow). You can do it. Good luck.
