If you'd like to see the State of Alabama draft plans bikes and trails, you can go to the AL Dept Of Transportation web site. It's www.dot.state.al.us This is the state only. They are not involved in the county road projects, therefore you won't see county or city projects.
There's a lot of government mumbo jumbo. Go to the Home Page. Click on the "Featured Information"- Bicycle and Pedestrian. If you don't want to scroll all through it, I'd suggest going to the maps of the Mobile pgs 71-75 (draft pg 65).
Pgs 17 (draft pg 11) let's you know a bit of the plan and maps of entire state begin, I believe on pg 23 (draft 16). The north, once again, has us down and behind the times.
For those of you on the west side of the bay, I understand that the county rarely, if any, ask for grants for these projects. I believe this should be a question we have for all local politicians.
