to Peggy and some of the ATR committee that were found "destressing" at Callaghan's, afterwards, was to have the same type of start as yesterday but for the 5K, have the participants go up Government then turn LEFT onto Ann St. then take a route through Oakleigh (maybe, even, using some of the Old Mobile route or some of the old "original" ATR route). The part of the Old Mobile 8K race's route has the runners coming down Palmetto St. and out onto Broad Street. They would turn left onto Broad then a quick right turn onto Canal and they could use the eastbound lanes of Canal until they reached Washington, where they would then merge in with the 10K at that point.

Of course, it goes without saying, that this would mean an increase in Police help and intersections being blocked off in the Oakleigh district.

This may help eliminate the problem that was had yesterday of people who signed up for the 5K but started with the 10K folks and tried to get away with one. "You vill not escape Stalag 13" - Col. Klink
