Over the past two and a half years, I have had the chance to get to know a large number of fellow runners and fellow racewalkers along the Gulf Coast. I have competed against, trained with, volunteered with, enjoyed many laughs, and much more with so many people.
On Wednesday, December 22nd, I will be moving back home to Wisconsin, to begin an internship with the Mid-Continent Conference (NCAA-DI). There are so many things and people that I will miss along the Gulf Coast, most of all are the runners and racewalkers.
Another thing that I will miss are all the road races. It has been so nice to have so many road races in the Mobile area to go to. Home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, they only have three road races a year. If I want to do other races, I have to drive at least 45 minutes to Milwaukee or 60 minutes or more to Chicago. I applaud the Port City Pacers for running a high quality running club, keep it up, so that when I come back to visit, I will have a road race to run or racewalk.
