Hi all,
I wanted to let y'all know about the Candy Corn 5K and one-mile fun run, to be held Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8 a.m. at Southeast Rehab and Wellness Center in Lucedale, Miss.
All proceeds will benefit five-year-old Makaila Valentine of Greene County, Miss. Makaila recently was diagnosed with cancer, and monies raised at this run will help her get the treatment she needs. According to the flyer, pre-registration and day-of registration fees are the same: $15 for ages 12 and older, $10 for those aged 12 and younger. Only checks and cash will be accepted; please make checks payable to Southeast Rehab and Wellness Center. Checks may be mailed to the Wellness Center, 838-A Mill Street, Lucedale, MS 39452.
The race starts at the Wellness Center, and there will be refreshments and t-shirts. For directions call (601)766-9001, or e-mail me at jer@reformer.org, and I'll be glad to give you detailed directions to the race. (FYI, it should take only about 35 minutes to get there from West Mobile).
