OK, OK . . . enough of the semantics. Point well-made. I'm still impressed. In my one attempt at qualifying for Boston, I only missed the qualifying time by 55 minutes. (Yes, readers, you read that right, not 55 seconds - 55 MINUTES !!). The marathon is indeed a strange and unpredictable foe. Guess that's why we run them "with" each other rather than "against" each other. Runners united in their assault on the beast called The Marathon.
