ok....been running several weeks now, and need some advice?

ok I've been running for several weeks now, and was just wondering should I be able to start running every day now instead of every other day? Someone one here told me to only run every other day when I first started out, so my muscles wouldn't cause me to have "small fractures" in my bones due to muscle/bone shift. Is this still true or should I be able to start running everyday now safely without this worry. I really need to start turning it on more, to better prepare for my future running schedule for 2007 which will consist of
Murphy 5K
Joe Cane 5K
Mobile Bay 5K
then
the ATR!
