You guys who say awards are not important have never run into Randy Loftis in Walmart the day of a race. I'm walking through Walmart in Tillman's Corner this past Saturday, when I see this guy walking towards me obviously fingering some serious BLING. If he had been wearing it around his neck I would have thought that he was a rapper or something. Anyway, he walks right up to me with this big grin on his face (like only Randy Loftis can do) beckoning me to take it all in. I must admit that it was a nice award. It was a nice medalion with the age group and the finish place engraved on it. I don't know if he took it in to look for a frame for it or if he was just wandering around looking for people to show it to. In any case, good job to whoever did the awards and to you Randy!
