A race that will never rest until it is run. Legend has it that a gun shot will be heard every Saturday morning at 8:00 A.M. until it is run. The running spirit will be felt by those on the small island but never will the thirst for that "runner's high" be satiated. It will never be experienced by the running community until the race that was meant to be is completed. The Hurricane Run was started to overcome hardships imposed by the environmental phenomenon known as "Fredric". We must not let his "would be" bride, Katrina, end the tradition. I say that we must put to rest the Ghost of Hurricane Run 05 or we will always regret it.

PS I also like Lynn's ideas about bringing needed relief supplies in addition to financially helping the emergency personnel on the island.
