someone...let's say (just to pick a name) Gabriel Wingard finds a downhill 10K in Low Humidity, Utah and blows the thing away dropping a minute from his Mobile PR. Would that be fair? I can understand folks going away to do a Marathon or even a 1/2 marathon but I think anything shorter should have to be a local race. That way we're all dealing with the same atmospheric and course conditions. I mean one of the local teams claims runners that are spread out all over the US. Do those guys qualify? If I go visit my brother in Austin and run in to Lance Armstrong can I throw a shirt at him and then just pull his results off the internet?
