I am looking for information on surgery for a meniscus tear. Many of you are expert runners and I haven't been doing this for very long. I recently tore the meniscus in my left knee. The doctor would like to do surgery. I have read a good bit about it but wanted to know if any of you have had first hand experience. Do anyone use other treatments before surgery? Did they help? If you had surgery, how long before you were able to run again? I would love any suggestions or advice anyone has.
