Doesn't mean you can't still train--you can, but there's a fair chance you're gonna feel a bit of a difference. So I say go ahead and train, but don't plan an important race within 4-6 wks of donation that precious red stuff. (4 to 6 wks is an estimate, I don't remember the actual average time---but it is way more than a wk, fer sur.)

On a slightly different tact, I'm not trying to express a political bent, because I find this Paul Ryan Marathon Calculator pretty dang funny regardless of whether you're red or blue. Hope some of you kids will, too:
