...it's too late for old dogs like me, FBM, Hillard, Ricky, and a whole host of you other Forum readers and posters, BUT, anyone who qualifies (see way below) should RUN to get an application in, like, yesterday if not sooner!

The below is cut and pasted (my favorite art or craft) from a message sent in-house today from an attorney I work with. I went to one of the links and indeed it does appear to be on the level. While on the surface it does appear to compete with the Will Wright-created PCP Charlie Spencer Memorial Scholarship, in fact it does not: the student STILL will need to be an honor student; will STILL need to apply and be accepted; and will have to meet the family financial requirements. But Ok, let's say you clear those hurdles--and plenty of kids will---can you even imagine a FREE Ivy League education?? I wouldn't turn my nose up at that, that's for sure. And it's only a hunch, but I bet you Alabama is under-represented---an imbalance they'd be looking to correct, with just the right student(s).

Just remember, for any of you who "make it" as a result of this information that I gladly pass along, I wouldn't mind having a boathouse, a track facility, or even a garden on the school grounds named after me once you're filthy rich and are endowing a chair or something.....

Please feel free to pass along the following to the families of any outstanding students you may know! And good luck pawking the cawr in Hawvard Yawd! ~~~Mo

Harvard University announced over the weekend that from now on undergraduate
students from low-income families will pay no tuition. In making the
announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said, "When only 10
percent of the students in Elite higher education come from families in lower
half of the income distribution, we are not doing enough. We are not doing
enough in bringing elite higher education to the lower half of the income
distribution."

If you know of a family earning less than $40,000 a year with an honor
student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the
tuition. The prestigious university recently announced that from now on
undergraduate students from low-in come families can go to Harvard for
free...no tuition and no student loans!

To find out more about Harvard offering free tuition for families making less
than $40,000 a year visit Harvard's financial aid website at:
http://www.fao.fas.harvard.edu/ or call the
school's financial aid office at (617) 495-1581.

SEND TO SOMEONE WHETHER THEY CAN USE OR NOT. THEY JUST MIGHT KNOW SOMEONE WHO
CAN!
