Just wanted to comment on the 2-mile record this year. The school program this year agreed to start a course record for the 2-mile. I had stop watches for each the boy and girl winners and had it planned perfectly. However, at the start, I realized this was a "rolling start" and it would be hard to have an official time. I decided in about 10 seconds, when the first child hits the start line, we would start our watches. So, the course record is an "unofficial, official time". I think the two mile is a great race and I hope this will give it some more attention. Connie Jo has done such a great job with the race!
