First of all, I would like to say that I commend the Pacers for going to the chip. ATR is Mobile's premier road race and the chip has been a long time coming. That being said, I do not understand the way they are handling the results. The chip time will be your official race time, but awards will be based off of gun time. If this is going to be the way its done, why even have the chip? Like I said earlier, I am all for the chip but what good is the added cost and the more congested start if the chip results count for nothing more than your own personal time. I am just very confused...Is there a method at all to this madness? I also want to say that I am not trying to stir up a "hornet's nest" and cause a big argument. I just don't understand the point of using the chip if it is not even going to effect the finishing order...Just my two cents...KP
